Phil Lesh has added more shows at his Terrapin Crossroads venue in San Rafael, California. The first series of Rambles will take place on May 10-13 and the lineup playing with Phil includes Chris Robinson, Tim & Nicki Bluhm, John Skehan (Railroad Earth) Adam MacDougall (Chris Robinson Brotherhood), Grahame Lesh, and Jaz Sawyer. The next set of Rambles goes down on May 17-19 and Phil’s band for this go-round will be Chris Robinson, Jeff Chimenti, Tim Bluhm, Jon Graboff, Grahame Lesh, and Jaz Sawyer. Tickets go on-sale Thursday at 3:00 PST at the Terrapin Crossroads box office and online here.
As previously announced, the Quintet (or simply the Q to many) will be playing together for four nights of music at Terrapin Crossroads starting tonight, April 26 through April 29. This marks the first time since 2003 that Phil, Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, John Molo and Rob Barraco have performed together, bringing fans the sounds that largely defined Phil & Friends in the early 2000s.

House of Blues celebrates The Festival with it’s new A.M. Sessions Series in the Parish at House of Blues on Friday, May 4, 2012 late nite and Saturday, May 5, 2012 late night.
A.M. Sessions Series takes it’s name from it’s late night show times. Each show in the series will start at 2am and last until. The series will consist of two shows with some of the hottest players around who will take the stage to jam and entertain all night long while closing out each night’s festivities:

2012 BLUE NOTE JAZZ FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED
JUNE 10 30, NEW YORK CITY
After an extraordinarily successful debut, the Blue Note Jazz Festival will return, June 10-30, with over 50 performances at venues throughout New York City. Ticket information and a complete schedule of events are available on the official website, www.BlueNoteJazzFestival.com.
This year’s festival pays tribute to the masters of jazz while highlighting a diverse soundscape of jazz-rich genres. The wide array of artists includes jazz masters McCoy Tyner, Roy Haynes and Jack DeJohnette; international acts Buika, Bela Fleck, Michel Camilo and The Flamenco Soul Project directed by Javier Limon; vocal sensations Kathleen Battle, Cassandra Wilson and Jimmy Scott; R&B/Funk/Soul legends Stephanie Mills, Bootsy Collins and The Commodores; and jazz-tinged mainstream and hip-hop artists Soulive, Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def), Questlove, Black Thought and Rahzel, Soul Rebels and Groove Theory.
In addition to a special series of shows at the Blue Note Jazz Club, the 2012 Blue Note Jazz Festival will host performances at The Highline Ballroom, B.B. King Blues Club, Central Park Summerstage, The Apollo Theater, Henry Street Playhouse at the Abrons Arts Center, Brooklyn Bowl and Sullivan Hall.
“After the success of the inaugural Blue Note Jazz Festival, we decided to make this a yearly event as a way to continue expanding audiences, cultivate young talent and promote this wonderful music throughout New York City,” Blue Note President Steven Bensusan said.
