The Afghan Whigs

Beginning at Noon today, The Afghan Whigs will make the song “See And Don’t See” available as a free download at: www.theafghanwhigs.com. Originally recorded in 1970 by Marie “Queenie” Lyons, the band’s version of “See And Don’t See” is the first new recording in over five years from the recently reunited group.

The Afghan Whigs will perform “See And Don’t See” when they make their first television appearance in over a decade on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon next Tuesday May 22.

The Afghan Whigs will perform their first show in 13 years to a sold out crowd at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City next Wednesday May 23. The band have currently announced 28 worldwide shows to date for 2012 including performances at Lollapalooza, ATP’s I’ll Be Your Mirror (London & NJ), Primavera Sound (Barcelona & Portugal) among numerous others. BIDDING COMES TO A CLOSE THURSDAY, MAY 31

Phish‘s WaterWheel Foundation and the Mimi Fishman Foundation have teamed together once again with an on-line charity auction. The auction features ticket packages for the second leg of the Phish 2012 Summer tour.

Phish kicks off the second half of their 2012 Summer Tour on August 15 in Long Beach and concludes the tour on September 2 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park just outside of Denver. Stops along the way include a sold out three night run at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, their first ever show at the Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City, and an intimate outdoor performance at the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City.

100% of the funds raised will go directly to Phish’s WaterWheel Foundation which was created by Phish in 1997 to oversee the band’s various charitable activities.

The on-line auction is currently live with the bidding coming to close on Thursday, May 31.
