JULY 13-15 AT WATERFRONT PARK IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY

The Forecastle Festival has announced that My Morning Jacket will headline and assist in curating the festival’s 10th Anniversary. The 3-day event will take place July 13 – 15, 2012, at Louisville’s scenic, award-winning Waterfront Park.

My Morning Jacket, whose original members hail from Louisville and currently reside in the city, will headline Saturday night, and will collaborate with producers on festival sights, sounds and experiences, as well as charitable aspects of the event. Celebrating its tenth year, the festival will pay homage to its past, present, and future, while highlighting the best features of Louisville and Kentucky, in addition to Forecastle’s maritime theme.

Full festival details will be announced in the coming weeks, including a line up featuring additional headliners, and over 75 bands, performing across multiple stages. Separately ticketed late-night after-parties will also take place on the Belle of Louisville and at the newly renovated Ice House.

Tickets will go on-sale January 27, including a limited quantity of specially priced, $100 weekend passes. Once this quantity is sold out, tickets will continue to be available at regular ticket prices. Travel packages will also be available, including accommodations at The Galt House – the festival’s official, waterfront hotel. For those who wish to dock up for the weekend, VIP “Captain’s Club” boat slips will also be available.

2011 Year In Review

Welcome to JamBase’s look back at 2011. For all the unique challenges faced in the world during the year, the music
kept flowing, giving us new soundtracks, memories and reasons to believe. We understand that on a basic level,
JamBase is a resource for concertgoers like no other – the Swiss Army knife of live music tools. What we also strive to
create is a hub where folks who find meaning, comfort and countless positives in the live music setting can gather to
be informed and come together with a community of shared ideals and passions that overlap in beautiful ways. No
matter what your favorite band or particular taste may be, we can all embrace the moment when the lights go down
and the amplifiers
shake and we are awakened and renewed.

What follows are the key stats from JamBases past year, signs and signals of where our collective interests have taken
us in 2011, along with our own Staffs’ choices for the years best albums and live performances. We’ve dug deep into
our database and pulled out some interesting factoids for you to chew on as you pop the New Year’s bubbly. Our “Top
Trending Bands” section, for instance, goes beyond a typical “Top Searched Artists” list and looks into who moved up
the most throughout the year from week to week.

However, were more interested in what YOU have to say. What floated YOUR boat in 2011? What show left YOU
shaken n stirred in the finest ways? What album barely left YOUR earbuds? What flipped YOUR wig this year? The comments section is
open

so dive in and give us all a hearty splash!
