JFJO ANNOUNCE SUMMER PLANS


Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey

Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey have announced tour plans for Summer 2012. The Tulsa and Kansas City-based band will continue to perform in support of their critically acclaimed album The Race Riot Suite with appearances at The Rochester International Jazz Festival in Rochester, NY, The Blue Note Jazz Festival in New York City, the Stranger Danger Festival in Chicago, IL and their first ever performance at the legendary North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, Holland. In addition, JFJO will play a handful of select club dates, as well as present Ludwig: The Pastoral, the quartet’s interpretation of Beethoven’s 6th Symphony, with the Oklahoma Community Orchestra at Hardeman Auditorium in Oklahoma City.

JFJO has also just released a series of A and B side digital download exclusive recordings that offer a reconstructed version of The Race Riot Suite material. The full series is now available for download in partnership with Sound Tribe Sector Nine’s label 1320 Records and is available at iTunes, Amazon, BeatPort, etc.

    THE BOSS RETURNS TO FENWAY


    Bruce Springsteen

    Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band made history on September 6, 2003 when they headlined the first ever rock concert at Boston’s Fenway Park. Today, Springsteen and his band are excited to announce that they will be bringing the 2012 Wrecking Ball World Tour to the legendary ballpark on August 14 pending final approval by the City of Boston.

    NPR UNVEILS “REVOLUTION” VIDEO;
    SUMMER TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

    NPR has premiered the new video for Dr. John‘s “Revolution” from the New Orleans legend’s universally-lauded collaboration with The Black KeysDan Auerbach, Locked Down (Nonesuch). The highest-charting debut in Dr. John’s 50+ year career, Locked Down has found similar success at radio, remaining in the top 10 of the CMJ Radio 200 chart since its April 3 release.

    Directed by Reid Long, the video offers a behind-the-scenes look at Dr. John’s recent three weekend residency at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), where he performed with guests including Blind Boys of Alabama, Ivan Neville, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and Irma Thomas. The residency also included a live performance of Locked Down with Auerbach.

    Dr. John (a.k.a. Mac Rebennack) will take songs from Locked Down across the US and Europe, appearing with his band The Lower 911 featuring Jon Cleary as well as Iron & Wine, Gov’t Mule, and more.
