NEW DATES IN CALIFORNIA, ARIZONA AND NEW MEXICO


The Black Keys

The Black Keys have announced several new dates out West for this October. The latest batch of shows includes stops throughout California, and in Arizona and New Mexico. Tegan & Sara will provide support on the tour. See below for all of the newly announced dates. Concert tickets and album packages are available at the band’s site.

The Black Keys are teaming up with Tickets-for-Charity to offer fans access to some of the best seats in the house. Proceeds will benefit Community Support Services in Akron, OH and W.O. Smith Music School in Nashville, TN. Additionally, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the band’s first album The Big Come Up, iTunes will make the record available for $5.99 for one week beginning May 15.

    U.S. TV DEBUT ON LETTERMAN JUNE 11


    Black Box Revelation

    Belgian garage/drone duo Black Box Revelation will release their US album debut My Perception on June, 12, 2012, through Morovee Records. The album’s first single, “High on a Wire,” is out now; check out the video below. Kicking off their US tour in mid-May with East Coast dates (scroll down for a complete tour schedule), Black Box Revelation will make their Bonnaroo debut on June 10 on “That” stage (Antlers, Kurt Vile) and then appear on Late Night with David Letterman on June 11.

    NPR UNVEILS “REVOLUTION” VIDEO;
    SUMMER TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED


    Dr. John

    NPR has premiered the new video for Dr. John‘s “Revolution” from the New Orleans legend’s universally-lauded collaboration with The Black KeysDan Auerbach, Locked Down (Nonesuch). The highest-charting debut in Dr. John’s 50+ year career, Locked Down has found similar success at radio, remaining in the top 10 of the CMJ Radio 200 chart since its April 3 release.

    Directed by Reid Long, the video offers a behind-the-scenes look at Dr. John’s recent three weekend residency at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), where he performed with guests including Blind Boys of Alabama, Ivan Neville, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and Irma Thomas. The residency also included a live performance of Locked Down with Auerbach.

    Dr. John (a.k.a. Mac Rebennack) will take songs from Locked Down across the US and Europe, appearing with his band The Lower 911 featuring Jon Cleary as well as Iron & Wine, Gov’t Mule, and more.
