Cloud 9 Adventures today announces Strings & Sol, the newest music destination event in the Cloud 9 family, which also includes Mayan Holidaze, Jam Cruise, Holy Ship! and Panic en la Playa. Strings & Sol – set on the sandy white beaches of Tulum, Mexico December 12 – 16, 2012 – brings together some of todays best progressive bluegrass bands for a rollicking string-music vacation like no other. Live performances during the events 4 days and nights include three full shows by Yonder Mountain String Band, and two shows each by Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon and The Infamous Stringdusters. Rooms & 4 Day Event Passes go on sale to the general public beginning May 23rd at 12pm EDT.

Less than 400 rooms total at Dreams Tulum will be available for sale to the general public where the concerts take place. Pricing for the all-inclusive resort starts at $1049 per person for triple occupancy rooms, and $1199 for double occupancy rooms, with Oceanview rooms starting at $1499 per person. A limited number of rooms are available for families who wish to bring their children, with a complete Kids program offered by the resort. 4-Day Event Passes are $995 per person and include access to the concerts and the all-inclusive amenities at Dreams between the hours of 9am-4am.

For fans who wish to extend their stay, Cloud 9 Adventures is offering a special discounted rate for the nights before and after the event. JFJO ANNOUNCE SUMMER PLANS


Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey

Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey have announced tour plans for Summer 2012. The Tulsa and Kansas City-based band will continue to perform in support of their critically acclaimed album The Race Riot Suite with appearances at The Rochester International Jazz Festival in Rochester, NY, The Blue Note Jazz Festival in New York City, the Stranger Danger Festival in Chicago, IL and their first ever performance at the legendary North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, Holland. In addition, JFJO will play a handful of select club dates, as well as present Ludwig: The Pastoral, the quartet’s interpretation of Beethoven’s 6th Symphony, with the Oklahoma Community Orchestra at Hardeman Auditorium in Oklahoma City.

JFJO has also just released a series of A and B side digital download exclusive recordings that offer a reconstructed version of The Race Riot Suite material. The full series is now available for download in partnership with Sound Tribe Sector Nine’s label 1320 Records and is available at iTunes, Amazon, BeatPort, etc.

    FIRST HEADLINERS CONFIRMED FOR;

    ON-SITE CAMPING AVAILABLE FOR FIRST TIME

    Green Day will headline The Voodoo Music and Arts Experience. Fellow headliners Neil Young & Crazy Horse also lead the 2012 Voodoo line-up which once again features artists from a variety of musical genres, while also reflecting the cultural gumbo that defines this historic and beloved American city.

    Celebrated as one of America’s most eclectic festivals and the final musical event of the annual U.S. music festival season, this year’s Voodoo–Friday, October 26, Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28–will mark its 14th consecutive year.

    Excitingly, new to this year’s annual musical celebration is on-site camping. A longtime tradition at the most renowned music festivals around the world, this is the first time it will be offered to Voodoo attendees. Camping options range from general tent camping with basic amenities to a luxurious all-encompassing camping experience.
