JACKSON BROWNE ANNOUNCES SUMMER 2012
U.S. ACOUSTIC TOUR WITH SPECIAL GUEST SARA WATKINS

Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne is set to launch his summer 2012 Acoustic Tour with a string of U.S. dates beginning July 14 at the Belk Theater in Charlotte, NC. Playing guitar and piano, Jackson will perform songs from his entire body of work, with varying set lists each night. Singer-songwriter and fiddle player Sara Watkins will open the Acoustic Tour as a special guest. Tickets go on sale beginning next week; click here for ticket/show information.

The tour runs through mid-August, and includes Jackson’s first-ever performance at the legendary Newport Folk Festival in Newport, RI (7/29), founded in 1954; the tour’s other festival stop is the 11th annual carbon-conscious Floyd Fest on the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Floyd, VA (7/26). Other tour highlights include concerts at Ryman Auditorium inNashville, TN (7/18), Filene Center at Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA (7/23), the Beacon Theatre in New York City (8/3), and Cain Park in Cleveland Heights, OH (8/15).

Jackson will be donating $1 from each ticket sold on the U.S. Acoustic Tour to charity. In addition, premium benefit seats are available for purchase through The Guacamole Fund. Pre-sale information and VIP packages are available here.

    The Afghan Whigs

    The Afghan Whigs are pleased to announce they will be performing at Terminal 5 in New York City on October 5 with special guests Eagles of Death Metal.

    Tickets for this show will go on sale this Friday (April 27) at Noon and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com or www.bowerypresents.com.

    The Afghan Whigs (who have reunited after a 13 year hiatus) have announced 23 worldwide shows to date for 2012 including performances at Lollapalooza, ATP’s I’ll Be Your Mirror (London & NJ), Primavera Sound (Barcelona & Portugal) among numerous others. The New York City show is the first non-festival appearance going on sale in North America.

    Formed in 1986, the bands career from then until 2001 saw them release six critically acclaimed albums during their career. Fusing classic rock with grunge-era distortion and a heavy soul influence, The Afghan Whigs were one of the most renowned live bands of their time.

    SUMMER TOUR BEGINS JUNE 14 IN MILWAUKEE


    Chris Robinson Brotherhood

    Chris Robinson Brotherhood will embark on a U.S. Summer tour which starts June 14 in Milwaukee and sees the band traveling through Chicago, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Asbury Park, Brooklyn, Denver, Salt Lake City and more before wrapping up on August 26 in Amagansett, NY.

    Chris Robinson (lead vocals, guitar), Neal Casal (guitar, vocals), Adam MacDougall (keys, vocals), George Sluppick (drums) and Mark Dutton (bass, vocals) will be touring to promote their debut studio album, Blue Moon Ritual out June 5 Silver Arrow/Megaforce Records. A companion record, The Magic Door, is due for release in September.
