The Allman Brothers Band

03.11 – 03.20 :: United Palace Theatre :: New York, NY

The Allman Brothers Band recently invaded NYC for their annual March run. Although the shows had moved from the Beacon Theatre to a new location, the United Palace Theatre, and despite being a few less shows than originally planned, the band was in top form throughout the run.

The Allman Brothers’ March New York Run is always a time to bring friends to the stage, and this year’s event was no different. Over the course of eight nights the band welcomed 17 special guests, including: Susan Tedeschi, Doyle Bramhall II, Gov’t Mule keyboardist Danny Louis, Eric Krasno, James Blood Ulmer, Rob Barraco, Bruce Katz, drummers James van de Bogert, Justin Stanley and Kenny Soule, guitarist Scott Sharrard, sax players Jay Collins, Kris Jensen and Bill Evans , flutist Kofi Burbridge, guitarist Junior Mack and bassist Todd Smallie.

Lincoln Center with Blind Boys of Alabama July 14

Yonder Mountain will join the Blind Boys of Alabama on July 14 for the “Unbroken Circle,” a show at the Lincoln Center featuring the following performers:

Yonder Mountain String
Band

Blind
Boys of Alabama

Dr. Ralph Stanley,
Randy Travis,
Ray Benson & Jason Roberts of Asleep
at the Wheel

Allison
Moorer

The Blind Boys have always loved the intersection of soul, gospel, and country music, and they count many country singers among their all-time favorites. By joining legendary country bluegrass artist Ralph Stanley and performing songs with special guests, the group explores the musical connections between these not-so-distantly-related musical forms. The Blind Boys’ upcoming CD will be recorded in Nashville and, with this concert, audiences will hear some of this new music for the first time.

This show is part of a short series the Blind Boys are hosting at the Lincoln Center.

For Tickets and Information about the series available at lincolncenter.org.
